How Inspire therapy works

More than 60,000 patients worldwide are able to sleep soundly again thanks to Inspire therapy. Inspire therapy is a fully implantable system with proven safety and efficacy for people who suffer from obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and who cannot be treated or are not adequately treated with CPAP.

Upper airway stimulation works in harmony with your natural breathing rhythm and significantly reduces nocturnal breathing pauses – completely without a CPAP mask. The patient uses a remote control to switch on the upper airway stimulation at bedtime and off again when waking up in the morning.
