CPAP mask for sleep apnoea:
effective but not very popular
For moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), wearing a CPAP mask is recommended during the night. According to the German Society for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (DGSM), this is currently the standard therapy.1 CPAP stands for ‘Continuous Positive Airway Pressure’. In German: kontinuierlicher Atemwegsüberdruck.
If you cannot cope with the CPAP mask in the long term, Inspire therapy with upper airway stimulation could be an option. Information material on Inspire therapy with upper airway stimulation is available here:

We are pleased that you are benefiting
from treatment with the CPAP mask.

Inspire therapy is only suitable up to a BMI of 35. People with a body mass index (BMI) above 35 are considered severely overweight. Even if you are above this limit, you can still benefit from this innovative treatment in the future after losing weight.
Please contact your GP for information on weight loss.
Based on your height and weight, you will probably need to lose some weight before you are eligible for Inspire therapy, but the final decision will be made by your doctor.
